About Your Therapist: Bonnie-Jean Connal, LMT, MLDT
Bonnie-Jean is a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist. She is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut. Bonnie-Jean has done post graduate studies in Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy/Strain-Counterstrain, as well as studying Japanese Healing Arts (Kampo) in Japan. Bonnie-Jean was certified as a Trager Practitioner, using Dr. Milton Trager’s format of neuro-muscular re-education.
She began her career at Connal Physical Therapy Group, LLC in Windsor, CT having piloted their lymphatic therapy program in 1992 after becoming a fully certified Lymphatic Therapist from the Vodder School of Austria. The Connecticut Lymphatic Therapy and Supply garment company was also started in 1992 by her patients' requests for a garment fitter knowledgeable about lymphedema. In addition to being in clinics with her clients, she is also available for home visits. She became a certified personal trainer, which helps her clients who are serious about home exercise programs.
Bonnie-Jean has competed in mini-triathlons in the USA, giving her insight to working with athletes, and weekend athletes. She has also been asked to teach and mentor students and practitioners who are new to the manual arts field. Bonnie-Jean is one of the few tri-certified lymphatic practitioners nationwide. Bonnie-Jean is a certified garment fitter for compression stockings and sleeves. She carries bandaging products to help manage lymphatic issues. She carries select Aubrey Organic products, including those with a low Ph.
